Union High School Senior Wins Michael Martinetti Group Scholarship

Michael Martinetti with Pedro Torres, the recipient of the first Michael Martinetti Group scholarship.

Congrats are in order for Union High School senior, Pedro Torres, for becoming the first recipient of the Michael Martinetti Group scholarship, awarded to high school seniors who reside in Union, NJ.

The scholarship amount is based on the number of homes sold during the previous year. In 2021 we sold 114 homes and awarded Pedro a scholarship of $11,350. He will be attending Rutgers University in the fall and studying computer engineering. Pedro was selected from among students who applied based on academic achievement, merit, and character. Because it was an extremely difficult decision to make, we’ve decided to up the stakes for next year.

It is our hope to award not just one, but FOUR scholarships during the 2022-2023 school year to students of Union. With your help, we can make this dream a reality for all.

The Michael Martinetti Scholarship came into fruition because Michael will forever have a soft spot for students and education (and the Union community). Prior to real estate and starting the Michael Martinetti Group, Michael was a teacher himself for five years. His desire to give back ultimately led to this scholarship to help those who may need it. In real estate, the community allows us to do what we love and gives us the opportunity to help people achieve the milestone of homeownership.

A Union County resident his entire life, Michael was born and raised in Union and attended Battle Hill Elementary, then Burnet Middle School and Union High School, after which he graduated from Kean University in 2012. “Those who know me know how much I love Union. Having the opportunity to do this amongst many other town events or charities we donate to makes this full circle for us here at Michael Martinetti Group,” explains Michael.

Your child can be next. Look out for scholarship information at the start of the next school year!
